Strange Times

As of late last night we found out Come From Away tour is taking a hiatus due to Covid19.

What a strange and unprecedented time. I haven’t posted in a couple days because we have had so much to deal with here. Flights, hotels, shows all needing be to canceled and rebooked. Play all emotional checking in with family, relatives, financial planning etc.

This is a difficult time for all of us, but the performing arts are being hit especially hard. Countless canceled performance across the globe. This is where artists need your support the most - so please think about supporting your favorite musicians through patreon or other online services. I believe it is difficult times like these when our society Most NEEDS the expression and connection that music and the arts bring - so let’s not let it die - but it instead focus on supporting quality for afar.

If you ARE a gigging musician, Christian Howes sent out a beautiful email blast I would love to share with you. He said, this is the time to be possitive and resilient. Look at what going remote means for you (Skype lessons, recording, YouTube) and use this time to work on long term projects, those that you don’t often have the time or creative space for. Maybe even use this time to up-skill (business, marketing, social strategies) or expand you skills on your instrument (fiddle lessons?? ✨😃)

Lastly, he and I both want to share this: Stay connected! Stay in touch, reach out. While this is unprecedented, we are all going throng it together so let’s keep the Corel’s open for feedback and ideas.

Sending love out into the world today to those who need it most. Together we can do this.

Stay in touch ,
